1) Is it possible to see available internships before applying?
Unfortunately, this is not possible. However, the VP OGX is happy to tell you more about the typical places and their availability.
2) I only want to go to one country (Spain, Japan, England, Australia, France etc.) Is this possible through your program?
We have internships all over the world. However, in some countries there is a very limited number of internships and many applicants. That is why, if you only want to go to one specific country, finding an internship might prove difficult. By being flexible and keeping all the alternatives open, you increase the opportunity of finding the internship of your dreams.
3) Will you return the program fee if I find a job elsewhere?
Unfortunately, the fee will not be paid back if the applicant him/herself quits the program for whatever reason (e.g. when finding another job). We have fixed administrational costs from the expenses related to the Work Abroad program, otherwise we would not be able offer the program at all.
4) How long do I need to be a member of AIESEC before I can apply for the program?
Even very new members can apply for the program and you will get an introduction to AIESEC in the Exchange Participant preparation seminar. However, a general interest in the organization is expected. You are invited to browse our website for more information about AIESEC or come to one of our events!
5) Is it possible to get a grant through AIESEC?
Unfortunately, AIESEC does not give any grants. However, if you wish to have a financial support, there are some grants you can apply for. The following applies for students of the University of Jyväskylä: you can apply for the travel grant. Read more about requirements and application process from the JYU Career Services. The students of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, please, contact the International Services in JAMK for further information.
In addition to this, the Finns studying either in JYU or in JAMK can get study grants (opintotuki) if the internship is part of their studies and their otherwise fill the requirements for study grants.
